Carmen joined the staff as Outreach Events Coordinator in July 2015 and was installed as our Pastor of Outreach Ministries in February 2019. Carmen’s relationship with HBIC began in 2011 when she returned to live in Harrisburg City. In 2012, she began serving on the Women’s Ministry team and other ministries at Harrisburg BIC Church. Today, she oversees ministries to our local community and collaborates with outside organizations to explore and facilitate ministry partnership with HBIC.

Carmen was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Pennsylvania in 2002. She is married, and has five children: Julia, Jacob, Naomi, Mateo, and Lucas.

Carmen is a graduate of Grand Canyon University, having earned her Bachelor of Science in Education. Carmen enjoys praying and reading as ways to refresh herself.
