Brie Thompson accepted the position of Pastor of Youth and Young Adult Ministries in August of 2019. Brie and her husband Stephen have 5 children, live in Swatara Township of Harrisburg and have been a part of HBiC since 2006.

Brie is a native of South Jersey and has her BA in Mathematics and Adolescent Education from Houghton College. Brie has taught in both South Jersey at a public school and in Hershey, PA at the Milton Hershey School. She and Stephen spent four years as full-time houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Amidst a string of years where she was able to be a somewhat “stay-at-home mom,” Brie has been able to be a coach, an in-home day care provider, a relief houseparent, a tutor, an online teacher, a driving instructor and a photographer.

God has always put a passion on Brie’s heart to serve youth and those in underprivileged situations from the times of her own youth. The seeds of that passion began during her childhood living in Salem, NJ. Brie has been able to lead youth in a variety of ways through the years including being a volunteer youth leader at HBiC from 2006-2011 and again beginning in 2016 through 2019 when she took on her full-time role on staff at HBiC.

Brie enjoys spending intentional time with family and friends and also enjoys spending time outdoors. She especially values getting to cook for and care for those she loves!
