This Wednesday evening a delicious meal will be served weekly for a small donation in our sanctuary from 5:30 to 6:10 pm. This will be followed by fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities for all ages:

  • 6:30 pm, Jr. High Youth Group, 6th – 8th grade (Large Youth Room)
  • 6:30 pm, Kids Club for Kindergarten – 5th grade (CE Room)
  • 6:30 pm, ESL Classes for Adults (Library)
  • 6:30 pm, Intercessory Prayer Group (Prayer Room)
  • 6:45 pm, Adult Groups (Various Rooms)
  • 7:00 pm, Beyond Colorblind, book study with Pastors Woody & Lynda (Sanctuary)

 

Beyond Colorblind: Redeeming Our Ethnic Journey

A new Wednesday evening book study of recently published Beyond Colorblind, by Sarah Shin, will begin in January. Chapters of the book include:

  • Chapter 1:  Beyond Colorblind
  • Chapter 2:  Ethnicities Made for Good
  • Chapter 3:  The Cracks in Our Ethnicity
  • Chapter 4:  Ethnicities Restored for Better
  • Chapter 5:  Redeemed Ethnic Identities Sent Out to Heal
  • Chapter 6:  Trust-Building with Ethnic Strangers
  • Chapter 7:  Cross-cultural Skills in Community
  • Chapter 8:  Responding to Crosscultural Conflict in Community
  • Chapter 9:  Prophetic Ethnic Justice
  • Chapter 10:  Culture Re-Creators.

 

Join us in discovering how our ethnic stories can be transformed for compelling witness and mission!

Class Schedule: This 10-week book study will meet at 7 pm on Wednesday evenings, beginning January 24h and ending in April. (Class was originally scheduled to begin on January 17th. Due to inclement weather, the start has been postponed.)

Books: Paperback copies of the book are available to borrow or to purchase for $5. Copies will be available through Pastor Lynda prior to the start of class or on the night of class.
