Glenn "Woody" Dalton, Jr.

Pastor Woody was born in Virginia, but has made Harrisburg Brethren in Christ Church his home since 1980. Pastor Woodh's wife, Kim, is a licensed psychologist and has training as a Spiritual Director (a type of spiritual mentoring, also called "Holy Listening"). Woody and Kim have three active teenage sons: Christopher, Zachary, and Jesse.  When he finds a few minutes to relax, Woody can most likely be found on the golf course (if there's anything less than a monsoon or blizzard) or playing chess.

Pastor Woody's education includes: Associate of Art from Emmanuel Junior College, Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama, Master of Divinity from Eastern Mennonite Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond.

Cedra Washington

Cedra Washington is the Pastor of Outreach Evangelism and Adult ministries at the Harrisburg BIC church. Pastor Cedra is a licensed minister and has served at Harrisburg BIC since 2000. Her passion is evangelism and outreach in her community. Cedra plans to further her education in Christian Ministry. She and her husband Stanley have 3 adult children and live in Harrisburg.

Lynda Gephart

Prior to joining the staff of the Harrisburg church in July 2005, Lynda served at the Grantham BIC Church as Pastor of Youth from 1993 to 2004, with responsibilities in various other ministry areas throughout that period, including young adults, adult ministries, and missions/peace/and service ministries. Lynda was ordained by the Brethren in Christ Church in 1998. Before serving at Grantham, Lynda was the Director of Christian Education at the Carlisle BIC Church from 1988 to 1993, and the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries there from 1983 to 1986. Lynda grew up a few miles north of Boston, where her family continues to live. She is a graduate of Eastern University in St. Davids, PA.

Lynda and her husband, Craig, have two sons, Ryan and Corey. Craig, who is employed in the IT department at Messiah College, regularly plays bass guitar with our church Gospel Choir, area music ministries and special events.  He is also an aspiring outdoor photographer.  As a family, the Gepharts enjoy camping, biking, swiming, watching movies and visiting with family and friends.

Hank Johnson

Hank became the Youth Pastor in September 2008. Hank was born in Monrovia (Liberia) and has lived in Freetown (Sierra Leone), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Palisades Park (New Jersey) and Philadelphia (Pennsylvania). Hank graduated from Central High School in Philadelphia, and then from Messiah College in 2004. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Evangelical Theological Seminary.

Hank has worked in a variety of youth ministries serving at camps, community and youth centers, and briefly in the social work field as well. Hank's wife, Shell, is currently an Emotional Support Teacher at Steelton-Highspire Middle School. Hank is passionate about building up young people, challenging them to take ownership of their faith, and living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Hank also enjoys sports, fellowship with family and friends, traveling, and board games.

Patty Patterson

Patty became the Children's Pastor April 2006. She is not new to the church or the Children's Department. Patty and her husband Kirk have been a part of the HBIC church since 1990. Patty was the Nursery & Toddler coordinator for 10 years and on the Children & Youth Commission for many years. Patty is very excited to be on the staff at HBIC and to continue the wonderful programming already in place for the children of the church and community. Patty and Kirk have two children, Alissa and Colin. Patty grew up in Niagara Falls Ontario Canada and graduated from Niagara Christian College.
